Dr. Rauch enjoys attending the theater, loves country music and is always eager to curl up with a good book. She shares her interest in obedience and agility training with her Good Sam adoptees Possum and Chico, who are happy to show off their tricks. Dr. Rauch is also an avid outdoorsman, and often relaxes by going camping and taking long hikes.

Dr. McCune is an accomplished wildlife artist and proud member of Artists for Conservation. One highlight of her extensive travels is a trip to Namibia with the Cheetah Conservation Fund. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, gardening, cooking and photography. Dr. McCune lives with her husband, two children, two cats, two frogs, several fish and a foster turtle.

Dr. Laasch is a "floating" veterinarian, and has become a part of the Best Friends family as our permanent relief vet. When we need an extra pair of hands at the hospital, we know we can rely on Dr. Laasch. When she's not helping area animal hospitals, Dr. Laasch enjoys reading, traveling and roller-blading. She shares her Chicago home with a cat.

Dr. Scarbeck has a soft spot for beagles, and her rescue Cricket is always close at hand. Disney World is one of her favorite places, and she looks forward to making the trip whenever there's a chance. Dr. Scarbeck loves camping and hiking, and in her free time works towards her goal of visiting every National Park.

Dr. Mears loves to read, both for fun and to learn about the latest advancements in veterinary medicine. She shares a home with Alda the Shepherd and Pixie, a rescued Yorkie mix. In her free time she enjoys hiking and horseback riding. Dr. Mears looks forward to taking trips with her husband and son to visit their family in Indiana.
